My name is Rod, a travel & wanderlust addict! I’ve visited 30 countries across 4 continents, and my sights are set on the rest.
For the last decade working, I worked as a television & film development executive. I know how stressful corporate life can be — seventy to eighty hour weeks was a regular occurrence for me. The companies I had the pleasure of working at were NBC Universal (NBC International Studios), The Walt Disney Company (Freeform, fka: ABC Family), and AMC Networks in international (AMC, AMC+, Sundance Now, and BBC America). I received my Master’s degree in Innovation, Creativity & Entrepreneurship from Newcastle University Business School in the United Kingdom. My Bachelor’s degree in Screenwriting I received from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.
Getting to work on TV series that people all over the world watched was a life-changing experience, but the world evolved. Thanks to COVID, travel took a serious hit, as did work-life balance. I know the value of being able to rest & relax to recharge.
I believe travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer, and I want everyone to experience this for themselves! A little more all about me, outside of travel: I live in California with my husband and 3 rescue dogs. We love to relax at home, cook & bake, watch TV, play MarioKart, and cuddle with our pups.
